Fountain Update

Middle and eastern Lake fountains in route to Colorado from the factory via freight. Expected arrival is Monday, June 30th in Colorado. If the fountains arrive when expected, the contractor will make every effort to have them installed prior to the July 4th Holiday weekend. If delayed, anticipate installation the week of July 7th. All fountains will be set to run the same as the western fountain, mirroring on/off times.

Update on Fountains

The eastern fountain has been repaired and should return to the lake within the next week. The repairs were found to be factory warranty with little or no charge to the Association. The middle fountain has been received by the manufacturer and is being assessed. The contractor expects that the larger, middle fountain will be returned to the lake in approximately two weeks, following required repairs.

Fountain Repairs

The middle fountain has a small leak in the hydraulic system and isn’t putting out the water as it should. It will require pulling by Keeton and be sent to the factory for repair. Because of its large size — over 300 pounds — it will require about four large people to remove it. Repair quotes have been requested.

The east fountain (near Village Circle) is not working. It has been removed and is in for a repair. It’s believed that a power surge destroyed a board in the control panel. It’s estimated that this fountain will be repaired and returned in approximately 2 weeks. If it needs to go to the factory it will be a week or two longer.

The west fountain is operating just fine and running between 7 AM – 9 PM

Formation of committees. Volunteers needed!

In order to have maximum community involvement, the current HOA Board would like to form four committees that would report to the Board. On 11-6-07, the Board created the Capital Improvement Committee, the Green Committee, the Design Review Committee, and the Covenant Enforcement Committee. Several homeowners signed up for these committees during the Board meeting. However, we still need additional members of the community to volunteer. The Capital Improvement Committee will discuss what areas of our community need improvement and urge the Board to allocate the funds set aside in the budget for capital improvement projects. The Green Commitee would be volunteers that are willing to help tackle projects in the community that could be handled by homeowners rather than a paid vendor. For example, watering newly planted trees in the winter, helping on community clean-up day, etc. The Design Review Committee has been set up to review the requests of homeowners when changes are submitted to the HOA for review. Finally, the Covenant Enforcement Committee will assist our HOA management company by reporting violations to our covenants.
Again, we need your help. If you are willing to volunteer for any or all of the newly formed committees, please email the Board your contact information.
We sincerely appreciate your assistance,

The Board
